Classroom and Lab Attire

Casual for classroom. Nurse Aide and Phlebotomy students must wear navy-blue scrubs for patient care and clinical lab. Medical Assistant students must wear black scrubs for patient care and clinical lab.

Admissions Requirements

Column

The school shall require for admission into its programs proof of each of the following:

  • Be at least 17 years of age.
  • Have a social security card.
  • Have a valid driver’s license or other state or federal government-issued photo ID.
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Successful completion of public school, private school, or homeschool at the high school level or higher or obtainment of a recognized high school equivalency credential.

Column

Prospective students must also:

  1. Be able to pass a urine drug screen if required by clinical sites.
  2. Cannot be listed as unemployable due to a finding of neglect or similar misconduct on the Mississippi Nurse Aide Registry (Nurse Aide Students) and cannot have been convicted of a criminal offense as listed in Mississippi Code Rule § 16-1-45.16.3.
  3. Present evidence of immunization against MMR, Tetanus, Hepatitis B, and a negative Tuberculosis screening.
  4. Nurse Aide students must pass a criminal background check.

School Approval

Journey Medical Training Center holds a Certificate of Approval from the Mississippi Commission on Proprietary School and College Registration. The MCPSCR-assigned school number for Journey Medical Training Center is C# 747. The school is approved to provide and conduct a Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) by the Mississippi Commission on Proprietary School and College Registration and the Mississippi Department of Health. The Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy Programs are approved by the Mississippi Commission on Proprietary School and College Registration. Journey Medical Training Center was established in September 2023.

Unresolved Grievances

Journey Medical Training Center holds a Certificate of Approval from the Mississippi Commission on Proprietary School and College Registration (MCPSCR) to operate a career school in the state of Mississippi. The MCPSCR-assigned school number is C# 747.

 

Students must address their concerns about this school or any of its educational programs by following the grievance process outlined in the school’s catalog.

 

A student who is dissatisfied with the school’s Program Director’s response can file a complaint with the Mississippi Commission on Proprietary Schools and College Registration. The MCPSCR-assigned school number for Journey Medical Training Center is C #747.
